I was going through belts quicker that I should have, at the time I was using Gates A series belts. I switched to the Gates AX series belts, which is a cogged belt. I have not have problems since. My belts last 500 hours, I change them then. One problem with the Gate AX series is they only come in full inch sizes, I use the AX44. The problem in my case is I should be in between the 44 and 43, so I lose some adjustment right off the bat with a new belt, as it is a bit too long. But the belt seems to work well, not much dust, they do last, and I don't seem to have charging issues.

One of these days I'll upgrade to serpentine belts & pulleys. Not dust, maximum charge, way more effecient. Expensive.
