Looking for some Bahamas suggestions from those of you who have been there
Money?
Hi Dave, good questions...
Did you tell us what kind of boat this is, the draft, and so on ...
Good point! I usually get too wordy, so was trying to be brief...
I presume that he's doing this during the prime season?
Not sure yet...
My part in this is to advise, help prep the boat, and help get it there...
(Of course I hope to cruise The Bahamas someday too, so maybe I can use the info then myself
If you're advising him on where, I think he's going to have to deal with the huricane season issue(s) or go "naked"
I hear what you're saying and appreciate the input
Bahamas
Thanks, David! That sounds pretty good
No real difference....
Having been there and done that, my
5' 6" is Deep Draft?
Well, I'm ready to be attacked - Nassau
Sorry Chris, bad choice, I'll go with David ...
No worries.. not a "bad choice" but "another choice"
Another vote for Nassau. Not my favorite place in the Bahamas, but certainly no "dump" either IMHO.
When were you there last Blye?
Admittedly it's been awhile. I was there in 2003 last, but have been coming and going since 1970.
Oh Ya! Saw your "end of the runway" thing on your blog and here. Here's a Bonaire runway video I did last year.
It's great to hear options and opinions.
You say it all about "sailing destinations" CCA.
Flying and sailing
Stocking Island Moorings
I was More commenting on the "negative reviews" Nassau gets more than the want to keep a boat there.
That is a good point ... if your client is talking about the winter months ...
Abacos and Draft
Ha! about the Hobie cat. At least with 5'5" he won't be the one guy with the deepest draft. Good info thanks
I don't think I'd pick Nassau as my first Bahamas destination ...
Thanks everyone...
