... tell Colin I said hello. He installed the Strong Track for me several years ago, I am very happy with that. Up & down in seconds, no friction. I can now hoist the Main all the way by hand, except the last couple inches, on our Tartan 40.
I installed OGM's Tri-Color with photodiode a few years ago, I do really like the light. The install was a bit custom, but it went fine, I did it, I had to modify the mount plate. I also got their Gucci control switch, which is nice to have. No problems with their light, I even mis-drilled the $30 switch plate and messed up the innerds, but they sent me a new one for free. I was having an interference issue with my radio (antenna) masthead, when the Anchor light came on, the squelch on the VHF would go off. I sent the light back to them, they installed some kind of ferrule on the power cord. Which BTW is a harness for quick & easy assembly/disassembly. I know some folks don't like the OGM light for whatever reason, but I have had excellent performance from it, and obviously good service from them. My light also has the Strobe, which has come in handy a few times ... alerting boats too close sailing at night ... and signaling friends in crowded anchorages ! I definitely recommend the photodiode ... so nice not having to remember to turn on or off the anchor light, and even thought I think the light draws very little Ah, when the old light was on all day cause we forgot to turn it off, it makes a difference.
Cheers, John
