Hi John,
I love that spot, and the folks at the Islandhoppinn are great... I rate that beach as the second-best jogging beach in the Bahamas, I really did a number on my knees during a week there 2 years ago... There's also a lot you can see from there if you have a bicycle, I had a great day riding north to Steveston, the birthplace of actor Sidney Poitier...
Hope the forecast is accurate, that could be an uncomfortable spot to ride out a front. I stayed there for a frontal passage with a forecast similar to yours, tucking right up inside the point like you will... It was fine, but you may still be surprised by the amount of wave action that will wrap around that point, I seem to recall being up for most of that night...
Sounds like you're hitting some nice spots, John - good for you... Have you been down to Old Bight yet? The Hermitage of Father Jerome is not to be missed, it's a very special place...
best regards,
Jon
