Thanks for putting those pics up! We spent 3-4 days on the hook there on Mother's Day in 2009. I believe there were 6 or 7 of us anchored in there - it was pretty crowded! We did a similar route. Saw in another post you're in Governor's Harbour - another great place. I remember tying the dinghies off to the wrecked pier there and trying to dodge stray nails while climbing up. When you hit Spanish Wells make sure you go bridge jumping off the bridge that connects the two islands (don't remember the name offhand). Also, there's the ice cream stand every couple of days to visit. Man... I have a lot of great memories from cruising through there... including grounding under sail just outside of Current Cut (got a Bahamian Skiff to grab a halyard, motor perpendicular to our boat to give us about 45-55 degrees of heel while three dinghies from our buddy boats pushed our bow over to get us away), getting hit by a big squall about 7 miles out of Spanish Wells on our way to Nassau (45kt winds, lightning hit about 100 feet away and turned off all of our electronics - thank goodness we could repower them quickly) and running to Royal Island the second we could see, seeing 0.1ft. under our keel for 5 minutes while transiting to Harbour Island with a pilot, and lots of other great stuff. Yes - there were more positives than negatives, but all of those negatives make great stories! BTW - don't know if you plan to go to Harbour Island, but if you have a Garmin GPS with newer charts they are completely spot on. We turned tracking on our handheld Garmin (our Raymarine was useless with the Navionics charts) and recorded the path our pilot took. The charts were ridiculously accurate when I reviewed our path later... just something to think about. Anyway, continue to enjoy your cruise! I'm hugely jealous!
