... nice to hear you're having a great trip. We'll be there in a couple weeks, a late start for us this year. Here's another tip, go see the Dockmaster at Valentine's in Harbour Island. I think his name is Marcus, super nice guy. In the past, for $20, they have let us come into a slip for a couple hours and unlimited fresh water. Fill the tanks, give the boat a nice wash, do some laundry, clean the wetsuits, run fresh water through the dinghy outboard, you name it. I would not fill your tanks from any of the other marinas, especially Harbour Island Marina, although I love Hortense and everyone there, their tanks must be cistern full, we got water once, it was not great.
I can't remember the name but there is a fish shanty near this Gazebo and across the street from the Liquor Store that has amazing conch salad, I think it is a yellow or pink shanty, there are several but I think only one w/conch salad. $10.
There is a small Gazebo just north of the Gov't Dock with a bunch of Bahamian skiffs tied to it, late morning early afternoon on most days local fisherman are selling grouper, hogfish, whatever for not much money. The reef at the south Cut, the impassable Cuts immediately to the north between the small islands and the reefs at Backbone to the north all have excellent fishing if you want to do that.
Cheers, John
