When you anchor,,, anywhere,, it's always a matter of swinging. I don't care where it is. With rhode you need at least a 5 to one scope,,,, if the weather picks up you need to go to 10 to 1. Now you've got 300' of line out and you're looking at either a rock or a boat next to you and you can't sleep thinking that if you drag 10 feet your screwed.
With chain, you start out with 3 to one and when it picks up you go to 5 to one. If all hell breaks loose you can go more.
The circle you are able to move through is much smaller with chain. For me, there's nothing more important in the rhode/chain debate.
life is easier with all chain.
