Carling
In Response To: "Marine Industry"... ()

Brian,

You're spot on. Carling Technologies makes most all the "world series" breakers out there. Whether re-badged as Blue Sea, Bass, Ancor, Newmar, Paneltronics etc. etc. they are all made by the same company. There used to be another company making them, the name of which escapes me, but I have not seen any in a few years and they have all been Carling.

You can certainly find them on-line but they are tough to find for less than you can get them for through a reputable chandlery like Defender or an on-line marine discounter. If you find a source let me know! Blue Seas buys in such bulk from Carling that the chandlery price is often better than the one or two lot price from a Mouser etc..

The Carling part number is the top number on the breaker and will look something like AA1-X0-09-705-x11-P What you can't find yet are the new ELCI breakers which are quite expensive.
