I have the Simrad TP32

My boat is a Rival 32 which displaces 11,650 lbs empty. I got the TP32 early in 2009 and use it most of the time I'm on the water (sailing or motoring) -- which totals 2,000 miles or a bit more on the tillerpilot right now. It has interface capability but I've always used it in "dumb" mode. No reliability problems at all so far, easy to use, and handles the loads most of the time.

It doesn't handle following seas that well (tends to yaw quite a bit) once they get to three feet or higher. (These are short period/steep waves we tend to get on the Great Lakes.) If I let the boat get overpowered when beating, it seems to struggle a bit. Reducing sail solves the problem. And it has difficulty holding a course in real light airs.

But, overall, I am pleased with it. I haven't used a Raymarine so can't tell you how they compare.
