The VV34 has a canoe stern, and the rudder post extends through a solid fiberglass tube to the cockpit sole. There is no quadrant, and while I suppose it would be possible to re-engineer the rudder post to install one, I don't think it would be worth the effort. The quadrant would have to be pretty small to fit in the space available, which would put additional demands on n under-deck autopilot.
I appreciate all of the feedback. I am inclined to the TP32, recognizing that it might be a bit under-sized. I think it actually may be more robust than the old Navico, which lasted a long time.
