He clearly speaking "loadly" at this crew. He was obviously up tight at having turned the full spinnaker into a "para" chute. ;^) To boot he did in front of me. He was obviously yelling at his crew who were [likely] fellow classmates at [say] Harvard, Yale, or Princeton in B- or Law Schools in the early 60's. ;^)
My bride kept suggesting I sail away from them. I was obviously distracting him from is anointed tasks :^) parked behind him in his lee. Clearly luffing a bit so as not to avoid passing him. I really didn't want to pass him by heading up (which would have blanketed him) -- and, believe it or not, I didn't want to just take his 60' whatever boat and have plastic fantastic J/Boat zoom by it on a close reach ...
As for the cats. In the right winds on a reach, they really go into "light speed. Upwind...that's a bit of different story. Obviously on of the "Cup" cats would destroy most boats on a long enough course -- until they self destructed....
