What is that Isabella or something?

My older Navionics Gold chart for the Pacific Coast of Mexico was off by a couple of miles. I sent them some photos of the problem and they sent me back a new chip. The new chip was correct. That was in 2008.

Here's a shot leaving the anchorage at Chicala. I always thought it was interesting that I was sailing through and anchored in 'Hillside covered Jungles'. The anchorage is just visible at the top of the photo.

Everything is becoming GPS referenced now and it's getting cleaned up. The old electronic charts were taken from the paper charts that were off as well. Most of the Mexican Gold Coast was off by 1.5 to 2.5 miles.

Get a chart upgrade if yours is more than 5 years old. I think that will fix it.
