I didn't even know such a thing existed, it obviously did not stay around for very long so that begs a few questions. Was it discontinued because it wasn't popular? Because it was too expensive to make? The design had structural issues? It sails like crap? No answers from my end for sure, however it seems to me that if it was a great design there would be Hunters everywhere with a free standing stick.
I mentioned the weight of the mast to the guy last night, he siad that if he buys the boat he has no intention of ever taking it down. All righty then.
My guess? His admiral has ben busting his balls to get a boat with a walkthrough transom. He has been looking for 2 months with not much success for a boat under $50K. He is somewhat frugal and has discovered a 32 footer, walkthrough transom that is about $20,000 less than anything he has found so far. Issues or not, I would bet that sucker is sold today.
