They have to be. It's about winning. If you aren't an arrogant yahoo when racing (I'd call it something else) you won't win.

Nothing wrong with it, just comes with the territory. Once you realize it, you stop thinking their a-holes (more like their French). I was one of them when I raced.

The guy in the sailboat asking the tug to 'give way' was a stupid clueless jerk. That's different than an 'arrogant yahoo'. IMHO.
