We have an AquaAlarm Panel at the Nav Station

It's over 13 years old. It has five "stations: i) Engine and ii) Generator Raw Water Flow; iii) Sail Locker, iv) Main, and v) engine bilge water levels. It has a light alarm and buzzer at the nav station. We didn't install the remote "Bell" because the buzzer can be heard at the helm unless theirs an awaful amount of noise.

If you lose raw water flow on the engine, you want to know RIGHT AWAY, before the engine shuts down because an overheating situation. When an impeller goes (or is failing to a point) or a belt fails, you'll get some warning that may be difference between.

We also have resetable bilge pump counters on the forward and main bilges pumps.
