I have seen mixed reviews of these units, but got one or two personal recommendations. The buzzer is under the floor boards. It will pump if the bilge is abnormally full and then sound the alarm if the pump can't handle it. So far the boat remains very dry so we have a puny little pump we run occasionally when we think about it. That one is strictly manual.

The Water Witch does not have moving parts and it quite well sealed.
