We made the passage from the Rio Dulce to San Andres Colombia last year. It was one of the worst passages we've endured for quite a while. Tropical Dance broke a starboard lower chainplate and we were limping into the island of San Andres with motor assist with 30 on the nose in 8 to 12 foot confused seas. There was a Nordhavn 46 about an hour ahead of us coming in. We were communicating on the radio with a vessel already anchored and the Nordhavn as the sun was setting. I remember the captain of the Nordhavn talking to the skiff of the anchored vessel (the captain was kind enough to offer the skiff to help us in after sunset).
Very calmly the Nordhavn captain said that there was no need to hurry into port as everything was broken and on the floor. Color televisions, water pitchers, seashells, etc. As long as the boat stayed together they were taking it easy as there was nothing else to fall or break
Rey an I had a cocktail on the Nordhavn after anchoring and it was quite a sight. Interesting seeing everything broken and on the floor.
