1) It takes 10+ hours to charge from total discharge, and assuming you can charge from an inverter, it'll suck amps you can't spare (unless you're motoring all day)

2) I think it's for cruisers with gen-sets or acres of solar and big battery banks, or people who keep the big boat on shore power at night. ....Or people with Honda generators

Otherwise it's a very appealing product.
