The video exaggerates the angle a bit...

it is a very wide angle lens. But it does get up to 60 or 70 degrees or so. The dinghy itself only weighs about 70 lbs, the outboard about the same, so the balance point is actually not much forward of the dinghy transom (which is set somewhat forward of the aft end of the tubes). I had to design the trailer so that it nearly balanced at the tip point, and that determined the rest of the geometry and action. When I retrieve it, because the CG is so far aft, the bow is very easy to lift to get it up on the cradle. I have to pull up a little bit to get the dinghy transom to catch on the stops on the cradle that is the hardest work involved. Once caught, it is all stable and self supporting.
