on the foredeck, maybe. And then It would have to either be on one side deck at and angle or up over the cabin. Either way would be too dangerous to deal with. It would be a wind and wave catcher. I don't have anything on deck normally.
It's simply too big a dinghy to reasonably go on deck unless you have something mid 40's or so. The only safe and convenient place to store a hard dinghy is on the cabin top between the companionway and the mast. There you can fit stout chocks and feel safe about going offshore.
There are plans for an 8' version of my Joel White Nutshell pram. One of those would fit on may cabin top in chocks. But it's just not enough dinghy for us. Often when I've ever talked to someone that bought or built the 8' version, they tell me they wish they had built/bought the 9'6" version. An 8' pram is about equivalent to a 9'+ V bowed hard dinghy in displacement.
If I were you and looking for an inflatable, I'd get one adequate for what you need to safely get back and forth to your boat and get the smallest outboard that will safely power that inflatable.
You'll figure out some way to get it on deck, or inflate it, and may find you don't need to as often as you think.
But you will need to get that outboard up and down regularly. I see people wrestling with big heavy outboards on modest sized boats, and then conditions will often make that a real job. A bouncing stern is a nasty place to work.
