Just hauled out again and everything looks good. I had installed a new bronze prop hub two years ago and the key is stainless, so any electrolysis should not affect the key. I didn't pull it for inspection last winter. The bronze looks good.
I think it causes wear and tear (especially on the bronze parts) to pull it and then lap and mount and tighten-down, and a well seated hub is a well seated hub. OTOH I know of another boat who threw a prop while underway. So what you don't know can hurt you.
So who pulls it for inspection every year? If not every year, how often?
