... other than Sea Frost ? I do like the idea of engine driven refrigeration, as a hybrid system with 12V, but my Sea Frost ED system has failed twice in the past few years, and I'm at a bit of a loss as to why, both were different problems, it all seems a bit more complicated than it should be and ambiguous to keep an eye on, I think the diesel engine is easier to maintain and repair. I wonder if there are more simple, more reliable systems out there, that idiots like me can easily monitor, diagnose and troubleshoot ? I think the systems are basically automobile A/C units, so why is it complicated ? It seems to me all systems on any boat should be able to be installed, managed and repaired by the skipper or crew, without the need for special, expensive and confusing tools & equipment. I don't think the Sea Frost ED falls into that category, I wonder if any ED refrigeration system does ? Maybe I should just go with blocks of ice ! Thanks, cheers, John
