That's another nice thing about a newish boat. All the systems can be designed for highest efficiency.

Every time I think about refrigeration on our boat, I start(in my mind) with rebuilding the ice box, which includes most of the galley,...then I get to batteries, making the space for more, which means reconfiguring a lot of space,.... then I get to charging and maybe adding another source like a solar panel. It gets to be quite a project, not to mention investment.

When it's all done, will I get the improved air flow to the compressor, achieve the box insulation, etc. etc, or will I just create an amp hog system that requires I double my motoring time?
