I take for granted that if the manual doesn't say 'light' most people will over grease it. It's important that you don't over grease it. I think, because of that, quite often not enough grease is used. I usually put more grease on things than they say (using reason and good grease)

The only thing I found after 'over greasing' was that the pawls didn't make as much noise as they had been dampened a bit by the grease.
