Pretty much why I tend to pose these seemingly simple questions... This is the boaters water cooler area (or better yet, local pub) and one of the few places where one might throw out an idea, and have it refined quickly by others... with more experience or with experience in other "trades."

This place is really something of a gold mine of ideas. And sometimes a good discussion gives you pros and cons for something you thought was a "no-brainer." If I just went down to my dock, I might have one or two other people to talk to about a particular issue on any day... here... well, the "world" is available.
