Not that I want to think of these matters. Our house has survived for 150-plus years, so at least we may be able to count on it. Irene was about the closest hit I'd want to take on the mooring, although many survived Bill, just before our time here. It is a hassle to get hauled; have to sail to Mattapoisett days in advance of the unknown. Of course half the cost would be covered by insurance. And I did have a storm anchor, a small secondary mooring, dropped as a backup, which was also half-reimbursed.
