The J70. Many new boats in this class with lifting keels so people can trailer them. These J70s promise to be under 50K, about 45K or so, with a trailer(I wouldn't spend 50k on a new car, much less a trailerable sailboat, but I'm not their customer, like most here).

They expect to deliver 1000 in 2012! I wouldn't be surprised, one of Jboats last offerings was the J80, 26' daysailing/racer(about another 10k, trailerable). If you daysail, you likely race as well.

They have already sold 1350 of the J80s, and the class is growing. Pretty amazing. I like Jboats style for a large production designer/builder. They like their boats to sail well first, could be why they're doing so well.

If I read it right, the biggest boat they're building these days is the mid 40' range. They're marketing the performance sailor that isn't looking for accommodations by the looks of their webpage. They hardly mention ammenities below until they get to 35 feet, claiming, "why spend 50k below for a boat you won't sleep on"?
