I want to thank all of those who contributed to this discusion. Nestor and his wife are good friends of ours (as is Todd D.) and I asked Nestor to post his question on this BB. The responses are very helpful.
My concerns for him were twofold:
1) An exaggerated shear, with a low freeboard aft, might mean wet conditions the cockpit when it's not a "post card" day.
2) The Chines on Cherubini's are not hard, but pretty pronounced. I wonder if it's it's got a snappy motion in beam to waves?
The latter motion can be a real PTA for the off watch when sailing overnight...
However, I am a fool for their sweetheart transoms..
Here's a pic of an ancient Native American shell midden that we found on a popular Maine Isle...you can see that indeed, they too had a cult who worshiped the sweetheart transom.
