Lewmar's technical service tech said that I should just use the 110 Amp slow trip circuit breaker that the recommend. He said that the momentary start-up load is a multiple of the ongoing load. He suggested that the 150 ANN fuses would be expected to be a lot less serviceable (even though they don't seem to be an issue except in occasional, frustrating situations).
It really is crazy. You can find the Lewmar Circuit 110 Amp breakers for about $80 on the web. ONE of those ANN 150's retails at over $30 (though you can shop around and find lower prices). When a fuse "blows" it takes a few minutes to go below and change the fuse out.
The wire is 4/0 I believe. total run to the FARTHEST WINCH (which never blows) is less than 25' round trip.
