The heat has been the talk up and down the coast. We got a taste of it this weekend when westerly winds drove the temps over 80 in Penobscot Bay. Camdens inner harbor was flat calm in the westerlies. Lots of boats in the harbor and quite a few on the bay. We had a good breeze forward that kept the cabin cool at night. If you visit Camden Harbor, try to get one of the inner harbor floats. A few are rentals and they give you the best seats in the harbor without the crowds at the town docsk. Mt. Battie overlooking Camden Harbor.
The winds sunday were like a Mistral blowing hot, strong, gusting and veering a bit. One reef wasn't enough on my boat at times.
Is it hotter where you're sailing this season?
