It's been in the 80s overnight. Pushing 100 many days. The Bay is like bathwater, so no cooling there. We've had the boat out exactly once. Raining now and 71 - wonderful!
Thanks for the photos Tom. Brings back wonderful memories. Last time we were in Maine - 20 years ago probably - we camped at Camden Hills State Park and the temps were in the 90s. Every business had their doors wide open and fans blowing. To escape the heat we spent a lot of time by or on the water. Took the ferry to Vinalhaven one day but the best was that there was someone renting Rhodes 19s in the harbor - had a couple of them tied to one of those floats. The day we reserved we thought we might miss out when we woke to a thick fog but it burned off by 10 and a light breeze picked up. Had a glorious day sailing in light winds on Penobscot Bay over to North Haven and back.
