We stopped in Port Townsend on our way back down from getting dropped off by YachtPath in Nanaimo last month. The new marine center is positively grand, luxurious! The Point Hudson Marina next to it is a favorite stop. Brion Toss Riggers and Carol Hasse's Port Townsend Sails are always a draw for us too.

There are lots of active wooden boat projects ongoing at the Marine Center, the schooner Adventuress tied up at the dock, and many displays and wooden boat examples outside for viewing. The store has great collection of books as well as traditional hardware such as copper fasteners, bronze fittings, and more.
