I off loaded my brait and chain rode when I hauled the boat. When I tried to bring it all back aboard with the windlass, the brait kept jamming in the stripper. Apparently it's so supple that it wants to stay attached to the gypsy which jammed it up. It was easy to keep it from jamming with a screwdriver in front of the stripper but took constant vigilance. The old three strand stripped off the gypsy without a problem. It's not a great problem single handing as I've got 120' of chain so can hang out on the foredeck pulling in the brait till the chain comes up and then run back to the cockpit to drive the boat up the chain to the anchor from the cockpit. Love the brait in the anchor locker cause it takes up so little space with the way it flakes down.
