Baja visit

Phil,

The last time we were there was a few years ago. It was a fun small town with quite a bit of building going on. They were trying to sell condos to the gringos. BUT, the big draw back was the lack of fresh water. They just do not have enough for all of the building they have done!

If I was planning a trip down the Baja, I would make sure to stop in Santa RosalĂa! Spend a night or two in the old mining office hotel (Hotel Frances Opened in 1886) in town. I can say that you can get the WORLDS BEST hotdog there, near the Eiffel church, in the evening!!!!!

And I only make that statement because Jill will NOT eat a hotdog, but manages to down at least two at a time! The buns are made just for the stand in a wood fired oven.
There is also a few other GREAT restaurants in town as you walk to the marinas.

I would also stop at Bertha's restaurant in El Burro (Bahia of Concepcion) if you can for a meal. A GREAT stop, but no hotel close by. It has a good swimming beach and there are summer rentals there, but mostly rented by the month.

ENJOY! and report back please.
