And actually was shocked at what had changed. I know some will consider it progress, but I think part of the charm of Baja is not having stop lights and full wide highways. The condo development in Cabo was just outrageous (and the push to sell the condos was just annoying). Frankly I miss the old single lane blacktop road that went all the way to Cabo.
Todos Santos fortunately has not changed much.
I wonder what Mulege is like these days... it was positively charming back in '84. Little village with a proper center square. Somewhat like La Cruz de Huanacaxtle was oh about 9 years ago. (I understand La Cruz has changed, now has a marina).
I didn't spend enough time in Santa Rosalia to really get a flavor for the area. Back when I went through I seem to recall a train standing along the side of the main road... but I don't remember much else.
I need to get back down there.
