As usual I could smell the sea ...but please don't mention seafood platters in the future

Here in Colorado a seafood platter consists of four fish sticks, three small frozen Asian farm shrimp and a dried out Tilapia filet. This is served with a straight face and many admiring glances from my fellow diners.

Real seafood platters (I prefer the fried CAPTAINS Platter) are my favorite food in all the world. When I am near an ocean I live on these, to the exclusion of all other sustenance. Best ones so far: North Carolina , South Carolina, LA, Texas Gulf coast. I have never had a decent one in FL or California , Seattle has good quality seafood but are unfamiliar with frying as cooking method and so ruin many a fine platter.
