Checking oil is a bit difficult as the dipstick is low and in a recess; the SW pump is mounted backwards, and on my boat due to a brace, putting water in the radiator is difficult.
I can get to everything if I open my main engine hatch... which means removing the deck grating first. All a touch awkward, but once removed the access is great, I can get right in there with the engine, the water heater, and the shaft and seal.
Runs like a sewing machine though.
