As you know, I spent a lot of time on the ocean side of Barnegat Bay(Point Pleasant area) in the early 60's. It's been a long time but I could still see familiar places that are now devastated. To me, the most frightening was the water levels. That's the one you can't do a whole lot to prepare or maintain. It leaves people helpless to do much. It must have been tough to just look on and wonder when it would stop rising.
Looking at the devastation of the buildings around Seaside Heights, I notice you never see an "old" building in those areas, and I guess we never will.
