Last time I was in the BVI's was on my own boat in 2004. At that time places to anchor were very few. All of the popular anchorages were full of moorings and if you wanted to anchor you had to search and find some out of the way place that wasn't popular.

I do remember you could anchor in Whites Bay on Jost and also Anegada but generally dropping the hook was a thing of the past in the BVI's. Sad but a necessary addition because of the number of boats and inexperienced boat renters. Still, the BVI's are great.
