As usual, you're living one of the biggest dramas to unfold this century Jon.

You're in good shape with your coveted altitude above the bay(your neighbor across the lagoon should be stressed). I'm speechless following this disaster. When you look at the areas in NY/NJ that were effected by this storm, the future of these affected areas is uncomprehensible to me. For years people have been dealing with an incremental rise in storm water damage, stuff like raising furnaces and water heaters onto cinder blocks. It's been a slow and silent rebuilding process for longer than we admit. These latest few years have really shown how close these areas simply are, to sealevel.

Now so many are rebuilding knowing full well this time,... they're going down again. Who can blame them? This is home, this represents an unfathomable amount of $$$ to countless people that is now, completely in jeopardy.

In the background officials discuss what to do, how to expose to the public the new flood zones, new ideas about zoning, rebuilding in the future, that nobody will accept.

It's not anybodys fault, climate change is just part of it, this is just the way things happened along the coast.
