Jon, your situation seems very similar to that here in Charleston after Hugo in 1989

In the short term, homes lost value, but rebuilt to FEMA standards, quickly began appreciating at accelerating rates. Hurricanes come and go, but waterfront property is always unique and valuable. Stick it out.
