Hi Brian, the original aluminum has held up pretty well in my existing tranny, so I will probably just keep it bare. Dessicant is a good idea.

Greg, I haven't figured out a zip lock bag yet. This will be located in a sealed plastic bin, not exposed to sunlight, so should hold up.
