I regularly download and upload waypoints and plots, and probably could upload courses, but I tend to just use waypoints vice whole planned courses. The issue with Oziexplorer is that it depends on me to calibrate the maps. Navionics gave me a very nice US/Baja chart; I have been playing with this, but I don't see anyway to hook my Garman to the program.

I have serial, USB and memory card access to the Garmin. I typically use the serial connection between Oziexplorer and the Garmin (which is very similar to I believe NMEA 0183... RS-232 serial interface.)

I tried writing a file to the memory card... but it wasn't seen by the Garmin. The Navionics software doesn't seem to have a "live" interface that I can tell. I am thinking perhaps one of the other interfaces might work as NMEA 0183, but it isn't obvious to me.

So anybody have any other suggestions? Maybe if I hook the Garmin up to USB, and then launch the Navionics software... it will just "find" it?
