But apparently the format symbols are also html symbols and thus the formatting is hidden.

I have come to the conclusion that the Navionics program only reads and writes routes and waypoints, and not tracks. I see no reference to tracks in the documentation.

And the flipside is my garman does not write routes and waypoints to the data card. It will write tracks.

I can communicate with the garman via the serial port and access all the data; routes, tracks and waypoints with the Oziexplorer program, but Ozi uses raster charts, where as Navionics uses vector charts (which are nice and crisp when one zooms in).

Oh well... time to go explore other software.

Had a great sail yesterday... low seas with long period, and between 6-8 knots of wind... the boat just flew along between 4-6 knots on this somewhat crisp, cool, bright day. Loved it.
