I determined that my engine start battery is weak. It's a maintenance free gel cell. I'd like to hold off replacement until Spring, but my concern is that it might crack it's case and leak acid. I don't want to risk that kind of mess.
Forecast for next week is for lows around 10 degrees Tuesday AM, so if I'm going to pull it this weekend's the time -- or if freezing won't crack the case I'd just leave it because I need to remove three house batteries to get to it.
Can anyone tell me for sure that it won't crack it's case?
