It measures above 12v with a meter but it can't crank the engine. It gets solar charge during the day but I don't know how far it will drop overnight or if the PV panels get covered with snow (a light snowfall is predicted for tomorrow).

I might pick up a start battery and throw it in there tomorrow AM. Since I need to pull the three house batteries I want to go in there as few times as possible.

    - Come to think of it, my starting battery was near dead last winter.
      - Start battery.
- Larry are you off shore power completely?
  - No shore power
    - I charge mine up in the fall and
    - Why replace in fall/winter?
      - I don't want to leave the bad battery in there
