That's pretty impressive, glad she made it through OK...

Since owning my boat, I've become a big believer in the value of the perforated aluminum toerails like we have... I think your pic might be clear evidence of the additional structural support they can lend to a hull to deck joint, and whatever caprail is in place...

Do you have a rubrail along the outboard edge of that deck edge? My boat originally was just bare fiberglass, I eventually added a stainless rubrail... Was that just bare fiberglass that chewed into that piling like that?
