Hi Jon
Yes it does have a rubrail. There is an aluminum rail around the boat with a rubber insert that I removed this year to clean. The massive chewing of the dock is the bare aluminum with an edge. I couldn't agree more about the perforated toe rails and the structural advantage. Was on a Catalina 36 in San Diego that hit another boat and did more damage that I thought would ever happen. Plus just the advantage of the perforations being a big plus.
Yes I'm glad to be keeping the boat also but I really need to throw some money at. I really need to address the soft deck and maybe do the keel/rudder combo that you have. I contacted Mars a few years ago and think it may be time. Not real comfortable with keel as it is now especially with the lake levels getting so low it would be nice to have some more room;) Nothing a whole lot of money I don't have won't fix. Hard to believe it was over 12 years ago I first contacted you about getting that Chance. Time flies.
Take care and hope your place gets put back together.
Bruce
