Out tank is made from 1/2" thick welded

polypropylene.
It is about 12" by 30" by 40" high, and has given no trouble in 8 years. One of the large faces is visible, and I have not seen any bowing.
That said, the drain valve is normally open at sea, so it is rarely if ever full in rough weather.
A sloping bottom is a good idea, to help it drain clean.

- And you will have to pump up hill from the head to the top of the tank.
- I think he means that he won't pump the tank out, he'll just open a valve and it will drain into the 3 miles offshore...
