When we were in Costa Rica a really early hurricane came through. We were talking to a British couple who were in a tri that was in trouble. The forward hatch on one of the ama's had broken off and the port ama had filled with water. The Admiral was on the radio and she was so calm I couldn't believe it. Here she was in the middle of a hurricane and gave us a calm account of their situation and position solely for their family to know where they died.

They didn't and were able to return to safe harbor. We became good friends.
